dxbluey’s debut photography exhibition

I’ve been invited to exhibit at United Art’s first show at DUCTAC Mall Of The Emirates in Dubai.

The exhibition launches the UNITED ART brand, being the first of a series of bi-annual shows from a global collective of artist. The theme for this display in April 2009 will be “People, Places and Patterns” which will cover portraits, landscapes and abstract works. All of the works are for sale and are either original artworks, or part of limited edition print runs.

The majority of the work has been shot by Mike Ford an internationally renowned photographer and will also feature works by Grant Bishop, Mark Brown and John Clough. Taken on the streets of Bangkok, San Francisco, New York, London, and now here in Dubai, the photographs on display, by a number of artists, have a unique style and feel. Bold, vibrant and at times playful, the images and their subject matter are unusual yet familiar, and the ways they have been captured, are intriguing and captivating and frequently surrounded by an air of mystery.

There will also be an offical launch event on Tuesday 28th April, from 7.00pm, but this will be strictly by invitation only. Please enquire by email if you would like an invitation to this exclusive evening.
